HALO INFINITE
BATTLE PASS + PROGRESSION VISUAL DESIGN
THE CHALLENGE
Halo Infinite needed a flexible battle pass and progression system for its free-to-play multiplayer experience. A key differentiator was allowing players to continue progressing previously purchased battle passes even after the season/operation's Live end date.

MY ROLE
I owned the visual design and specification of the battle pass and progression screens, including their widgets, visual states, and supporting assets. This included:
-
Battle Pass Summary Screen and Widgets
-
Challenge Screen and Widgets
-
Main Menu Battle Pass and Challenge Widgets
-
Challenge Type Icons and Rarity Styling
-
Level and Progress Components and Styling
-
Battle Pass Switcher Screen and Widgets
-
S02 Lone Wolves Logo
-
End-of-Match Progression and Reward Unlocks
-
Battle Pass Reward Track Screens
-
Battle Pass Reward Inspection Screens

DESIGN APPROACH
With approximately one week to design the screens alongside UX wireframes, I prioritized edge cases early (including accessibility, text scaling, and completion states) to reduce iteration later.

I worked closely with UX, Technical Art, Technical Design, and Production to ensure the visual system could accommodate the breadth of progression states and seasonal content.

EXECUTION
I systemized the styling of components to create consistency and cohesion across multiple seasons/operations. I componentized the widgets and their visual states in Figma, designing them on-grid and responsively for accurate implementation.

I also created Photoshop templates that allowed Production Artists to efficiently create and export season- and Operation-specific assets.

THE RESULT
The released system gave players a persistent progression path across seasons and Operations, encouraging continued multiplayer engagement while allowing previously purchased Battle Passes to remain relevant (and even collectible for completionists) after its Live end date.
The screen captures below display the released battle pass screens and progression design across multiple seasons/operations.
